Is Netflix actively trying to break our hearts? Because honey, they’re doing a FABULOUS job of it. Geena Davis just spilled the piping hot tea about the streaming giant’s absolutely brutal decision to axe ‘The Boroughs,’ and let’s just say the legendary ‘A League of Their Own’ star is NOT happy about it.

In a shocking turn of events that literally nobody saw coming (except, apparently, everyone at Netflix), the beloved series got the boot without warning. And Geena? She’s absolutely LIVID. The Oscar-winning actress didn’t mince words when she expressed her feelings, saying she’s “terribly disappointed” by the cancellation. Translation: Girl is UPSET, and rightfully so!

What really gets us pressed is that Geena revealed the cast “didn’t expect” the show to get axed. Like, Netflix couldn’t even give them a heads up? The AUDACITY! Here we have a talented ensemble pouring their hearts and souls into creating quality television, and the powers that be just ghost them faster than a bad Tinder date. It’s giving absolutely zero professionalism, and frankly, we’re embarrassed FOR Netflix.

The 67-year-old icon has had an illustrious career spanning decades, and she’s not about to stay quiet when a passion project gets murdered by corporate suits who probably didn’t even watch the show. Geena’s righteous indignation is completely valid, and honestly, we’re here for her speaking her truth. This isn’t the first time Netflix has made these questionable decisions, and it certainly won’t be the last.

Fans of ‘The Boroughs’ are absolutely devastated, taking to social media to express their own disappointment. The show had developed a loyal following who were genuinely invested in the storylines and characters, only to have their hopes and dreams cruelly dashed. It’s giving emotional whiplash, and we’re all collectively holding each other and crying.

Netflix really needs to get it together with their cancellation strategy. If you’re going to greenlight projects, at least have the decency to give the cast and crew some warning before you pull the plug. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so.

What do you think? A) Netflix needs to stop canceling shows so quickly B) Geena Davis deserves better treatment from streaming platforms
