Can you believe Hollywood just lost one of its true legends, and The Bear got to be part of his final act?

Okay, buckle up because this is giving us all the feels. Courtney Storer, the brilliant co-EP and culinary producer behind FX’s hit show The Bear, is opening up about working with the incomparable Rob Reiner before his tragic passing earlier this year. And honey, the tea is HOT.

At the 2026 Emmys last week, Storer couldn’t stop gushing about the legendary director-actor, calling him ‘such an incredible force.’ She told Us Weekly that Reiner’s guest spot on The Bear was one of his final performances, and let us tell you, the man did NOT disappoint. Sources say his scenes were absolutely electric, bringing that signature warmth and wit that made him a household name.

Fans are absolutely DEVASTATED by this news. Social media is flooded with tributes, with one fan writing ‘Rob Reiner was pure magic and The Bear better have given him the send-off he deserved.’ Another tweeted ‘This makes me emotional – what a privilege for the cast and crew to work with a legend in his final days.’

The Bear’s creator Christopher Storer also chimed in, saying ‘We’re honored that Rob chose to spend his final creative moments with us. He brought so much joy to our set.’ Meanwhile, Jon Bernthal, who stars in the show, posted a heartfelt tribute calling Reiner ‘a master of the craft.’

We’re not crying, you’re crying. This is the kind of Hollywood legacy story that reminds us why we fell in love with entertainment in the first place.
