Can we PLEASE talk about how absolutely unhinged it is when someone demands you be a traditional housewife while they’re literally sitting on the couch collecting dust?
Because honey, that’s exactly what went down between 90 Day Fiancé’s power couple Zied and Rebecca on the latest episode of The Last Resort, and we are LIVING for the messy tea. Rebecca, who’s out here juggling her career AND keeping the household afloat, got absolutely read for filth by her husband Zied, who apparently didn’t get the memo that it’s 2024 and not 1954.
In a clip that had us all clutching our pearls, Zied straight-up told Rebecca, “I want you to be a real wife!” Girl, EXCUSE ME? Let’s break this down, shall we? Rebecca is literally the breadwinner keeping the lights on, the mortgage paid, and the pantry stocked—and THIS man has the audacity to complain about household chores? The entitlement! The NERVE! The absolute delusion of it all!
Rebecca, looking tired and over it (rightfully so, bestie), tried to explain the impossible position she’s in: working full-time to support them both while apparently also expected to maintain a Pinterest-perfect household. Newsflash, Zied: wives are REAL even when they’re not scrubbing floors in pearls and heels. The bar is literally on the floor, and somehow he’s still managing to limbo under it.
Fans have been absolutely TORN UP over this dynamic. Social media is absolutely exploding with think pieces about traditional gender roles, financial dependency, and the audacity of men everywhere. Some viewers are defending Rebecca’s independence and calling out Zied’s unrealistic expectations, while others are giving him the side-eye so hard it’s visible from space.
The real question is: how much longer can Rebecca juggle being both the financial provider AND the domestic goddess before she absolutely snaps? We’re rooting for her to stand firm on her boundaries because QUEEN, you deserve better than this medieval nonsense.
What do you think? A) Zied needs to pick up a sponge and check his entitlement at the door OR B) Couples should divide household duties fairly regardless of who earns more?
