Is there ANYTHING more pathetic than a reality TV contestant getting caught in a blatant lie? Because hunty, Love Island USA’s Zach Georgiou just served us the messiest course of dishonesty, and we are LIVING for the chaos.

During Monday’s episode on Peacock, our boy Zach attempted to play the role of devoted partner while reassuring Kayda Bosse that she was absolutely, positively his number one choice. Cue the eye roll heard ’round the internet. The problem? Everything coming out of his mouth was pure fiction. According to production insiders, Zach straight-up LIED about how things actually ended with Alannah Keyser during Casa Amor. Instead of admitting the truth—that Alannah was literally removed from the villa—Zach spun some fairy tale about their connection not being strong enough. Girl, we cannot make this up.

The audacity! This man had the nerve to stand there and gaslight Kayda while his previous connection was getting escorted out by producers. It’s giving major manipulation energy, and frankly, it’s the kind of behavior that makes us question whether Love Island producers are actually vetting these people or just casting whoever can create the most drama.

What really gets us is HOW OBVIOUS the lie was. Fans on social media have already connected the dots faster than you can say “Casa Amor chaos.” Twitter has been absolutely ROASTING Zach for his pathetic attempt at deception. One user commented, “This man really thought we wouldn’t notice Alannah disappeared?” Another sarcastic queen wrote, “Love Island: where they lie bigger than their eyelash extensions.”

The funniest part? Kayda seemed to actually believe him IN THE MOMENT. But once episodes aired and the truth came out, the girl was understandably upset. Sources close to the production say Kayda felt completely blindsided when she realized Zach had basically been feeding her bull while positioning himself as the “honest” option. Newsflash: if you’re lying about major villa events, you’re not honest, babe.

This is exactly why Love Island USA continues to be absolutely unhinged television gold. You can’t write this level of messiness. These contestants go in thinking they can control their narrative, and production just sits back with popcorn watching them implode spectacularly.

What do you think? A) Zach’s behavior is manipulative and disqualifying B) It’s all part of the Love Island game and Kayda should have seen through it
