Is it officially the end of an era for one of Hollywood’s most low-key power couples? Because honey, we’re hearing that Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid have decided to part ways after more than a decade of dating bliss. And we are LIVING for the drama, darling.

According to reports making the rounds, the pair allegedly called it quits late last year, but decided to keep things on the DL while they sorted out their feelings. Because apparently, these two believe in actually respecting their privacy like it’s 1995. How utterly refreshing and also incredibly annoying for those of us who live for celebrity chaos.

For those who haven’t been keeping score, Cox and McDaid started dating back in 2013 after meeting at a U2 concert—yes, really, it’s that romantic—and the pair seemed absolutely smitten for years. They got engaged in 2014, and while they never officially tied the knot, they appeared to be living their best lives together in Malibu, away from prying eyes. Honestly, we were obsessed with how unbothered they were by tabloid scrutiny.

But clearly, something shifted in their fairytale narrative. Sources suggest they’ve been keeping separate for several months now, which means they’ve basically been ghosting us from our favorite celebrity couple status. The audacity!

What’s particularly juicy here is that both Cox and McDaid have been relatively silent on social media—no cryptic Instagram posts, no passive-aggressive song drops, no crying-in-the-club TikToks. They’re handling this breakup with a level of maturity that frankly makes for terrible gossip content, and we’re slightly offended.

The 60-year-old Friends icon has been focusing on her career, her beloved dog Coco, and her wildly popular Cougar Town legacy, while McDaid has been keeping busy with his music endeavors. They’re basically proving that breakups don’t have to be messy, dramatic, or headline-grabbing 24/7.

At this point, we’re just hoping one of them writes a breakup album or posts a cryptic quote on their Instagram Stories so we have something juicy to work with. Is that too much to ask?

What do you think? A) They’ll reunite and prove everyone wrong B) This breakup is final and we need to accept it
