Is there ANYTHING Bravo lovers won’t fight about on social media? Because apparently, a quick follow/unfollow is now grounds for full-blown reality TV warfare, honey.
The drama between Teresa Giudice and ‘Next Gen NYC’ newbie Ava Dash is absolutely JUICY, and her daughter Gia is NOT having it. During a Season 1 episode of the Bravo spinoff, Dash made a point to call out Teresa for the most petty social media move in existence—following her, then immediately unfollowing her. Yes, you read that correctly. We’re talking about a follow-unfollow situation being treated like a federal offense. Gia, ever the protective mama bear’s offspring, came out swinging with some seriously sassy language, calling Dash ‘nasty’ for even bringing up the alleged slight.
Look, we’ve all been there—you see someone followed you, got excited, then BAM, they’re gone. It stings a little, but most of us don’t make it a storyline on national television. But this is Bravo, darling, where molehills become mountains and social media metrics are basically currency. Ava apparently felt some type of way about Teresa’s digital shenanigans and decided to air it out during filming, which, let’s be honest, is both iconic and absolutely ridiculous at the same time.
The Giudice family loyalty is UNMATCHED, and Gia wasn’t about to let anyone come for her mom without throwing some serious shade back. Her ‘nasty’ comment has fans absolutely LIVING for the drama, with Twitter exploding faster than you can say ‘Real Housewives.’ People are divided on whether Ava was justified in calling out the unfollow, or if she should’ve just let it slide and saved the drama for the actual filming.
What makes this even MORE entertaining is that this is just Season 1 of ‘Next Gen NYC.’ If we’re already getting this level of pettiness about follows and unfollows, imagine what’s coming in future seasons! Teresa and Gia are clearly not here for any of Ava’s energy, and honestly? The entertainment value is THROUGH THE ROOF.
The real question isn’t whether Teresa followed and unfollowed Ava—it’s whether Ava should’ve kept that grievance off camera. Either way, we are OBSESSED with this messy energy and cannot wait to see how this friendship (or lack thereof) develops.
What do you think? A) Ava was right to call out Teresa’s social media games B) Gia was justified in defending her mom against ‘nasty’ behavior
