Is there ANYTHING more painfully ironic than screaming your deepest fears into the void on national television, only to have those exact fears become your reality? Because honey, Amanda Batula just gave us the ultimate cautionary tale.
The Summer House queen made an absolutely gut-wrenching declaration of love to her hubby Kyle Cooke back in June, gushing “My biggest fear is losing you” on the Bravo series. And we were HERE for the romantic sentiment, folks. Amanda, 34, was literally trembling with emotion as she confessed how terrified she was of their relationship crumbling. Fast forward a few months, and BOOM—she’s telling Kyle she’s done. Finished. Over it. Talk about manifesting your own breakup energy!
The timing is absolutely SENDING us into an existential crisis. Like, did Amanda accidentally jinx herself? Did the universe hear her fears and say, “Say less, babe, we got you”? This is what happens when you tempt fate on cable television, people!
What’s even MORE delicious is that Kyle, 43, apparently didn’t see this coming at all. Here he is thinking his wife is head-over-heels in love with him, reassuring him that he’s her “biggest fear” to lose, and then—PLOT TWIST—she decides to leave anyway. The emotional whiplash must have been absolutely DEVASTATING for the guy.
Fans are absolutely LOSING IT on social media, with some calling this the most devastating reversal since they discovered their favorite restaurant closed down. Comments are flooding in like “Amanda SPOKE IT INTO EXISTENCE,” “This is what happens when you manifest negativity,” and our personal favorite, “Bravo, you’ve done it again.”
The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife and serve it as an appetizer at their divorce proceedings. One minute you’re confessing your deepest fears on national television with trembling emotion, the next minute you’re signing divorce papers. It’s the kind of arc that even the best screenwriters couldn’t manufacture. Reality TV at its absolute FINEST, darling.
So what do you think happened between that tearful June confession and the split? Did Amanda sabotage herself with her own words, or was this relationship doomed from the start despite what she was saying for the cameras?
What do you think? A) Amanda jinxed herself by speaking her fears aloud B) The relationship was already over and she was just performing for the cameras
