How does a grown woman think it’s acceptable to use a METAL STAPLER as a weapon against innocent five-year-olds? Well honey, one Florida daycare worker apparently didn’t get that memo, and now she’s facing some seriously deserved legal consequences.
Let us introduce you to Latasha Mullings, who apparently thought her job description included playing prosecutor with office supplies. According to reports, this former daycare employee allegedly went full stapler-happy on five children, and we are absolutely NOT here for it. The charges? Try 11 counts of misdemeanor battery AND one count of misdemeanor assault with intent to do violence. That’s not just sloppy childcare, darling—that’s a crime.
But wait, it gets even MORE unhinged. When Mullings was fired (shocking, we know), she had the audacity to claim that her “babies are gonna miss” her. Girl, BYE. Those babies are probably traumatized from being attacked with office equipment! The only thing they’ll miss is NOT being weaponized against. The sheer audacity, the delusion, the absolute lack of self-awareness—it’s giving “I deserve this lawsuit energy.”
Parents across the Sunshine State are absolutely LOSING IT on social media. One mom wrote, “My child comes home with enough anxiety as it is—the LAST thing I need is a daycare worker turning school supplies into weapons!” Another commented, “This is exactly why we need better background checks and security cameras in every room.” Honestly? They’re not wrong. This situation is giving negligent supervision, nightmare fuel, and criminal behavior all rolled into one horrifying package.
The daycare in question is now probably dealing with more lawsuits than they can handle. Parents are pulling their kids faster than you can say “stapler,” and honestly, can we blame them? A worker literally assaulted their children with METAL. This isn’t a “oops, I had a bad day” situation—this is a “why were you ever allowed near children” situation.
What really gets us is the absolute lack of remorse. Instead of apologizing or showing ANY concern for the children she harmed, Mullings is worried about being missed? Ma’am, focus on your legal defense, not your victim complex. The children’s parents are probably already consulting with attorneys, and rightfully so.
This whole situation is a PSA for why parents need to vet childcare providers like they’re hiring a CEO. Your babies deserve safety, not stapler-induced trauma. Period.
What do you think? A) Mullings should face maximum charges and jail time. B) This story is being blown out of proportion.
