Is Ray J’s comeback strategy officially dead? Because his face just took the final blow when YouTuber Supa Hot Fire sent him to the canvas in round two!
Honey, we cannot make this up. The 45-year-old “Love & Hip Hop” alum decided to step into the octagon last Saturday at Adin Ross’s UFC Apex event in Las Vegas, and let’s just say it was NOT the glow-up we were expecting. Going up against 35-year-old internet sensation Supa Hot Fire in what was billed as a celebrity MMA boxing match, Ray J learned a very expensive lesson: YouTube fame apparently comes with some serious hands.
The knockout happened around the 2:50 mark of round two, and sis, it was QUICK. We’re talking “blink and you miss it” quick. One second Ray J was still standing, the next second he was acquainted with the mat in a way that no amount of lip gloss could fix. This wasn’t some controversial decision or close call – this was a full-on, can’t-argue-with-it knockout that had the entire venue gasping.
Social media absolutely EXPLODED faster than you can say “contentious decision.” Fans were torn between cackling at the irony and actually feeling a little bad for the guy. One Twitter user wrote, “Ray J really thought this was a music video,” while another chimed in, “Supa Hot Fire said I’m NOT a human being!” The memes? *Chef’s kiss.* Priceless.
Ray J, who’s had quite the eventful year (understatement much?), apparently thought throwing on some gloves and stepping into the ring would be the redemption arc we all needed. Instead, we got what can only be described as his most unexpected L of the season. The controversial rapper has certainly seen his share of drama, but getting sent to dreamland by an influencer? That’s a new chapter entirely.
The bigger question haunting us all: who approved this fight? And more importantly, was Ray J’s insurance up to date? Because getting knocked out on pay-per-view in front of thousands is the kind of content that never, EVER gets forgotten on the internet.
What do you think? A) Ray J should stick to music and leave boxing to the professionals B) He deserves respect for at least stepping in the ring, even if it didn’t go as planned
