Did this UFC fighter really think repeating a tired, disrespectful conspiracy theory would be the move to celebrate his big win? Girl, YIKES.
Let’s talk about UFC fighter Josh Hokit, who apparently decided that winning his fight at the Freedom 250 event was the perfect moment to dust off some seriously outdated and offensive conspiracy theories about former First Lady Michelle Obama. Honey, the audacity! Instead of basking in his victory like a normal person, Hokit chose to weaponize bigotry and hateful rhetoric, and honestly, we’re shocked but also not shocked at all.
The comments went absolutely viral faster than you can say “social media disaster,” and for all the right reasons—meaning everyone was FURIOUS. Twitter, Instagram, TikTok—you name it, people were dragging this guy through the digital streets with zero mercy. And rightfully so! Making crude, false, and frankly dehumanizing statements about anyone, let alone a beloved former First Lady, is not the comeback we asked for.
What really gets us is the whole “celebrating at a political event” vibe that surrounded all of this. The timing? Terrible. The optics? Catastrophic. The excuse he probably tries to use later? Definitely going to be something about “just joking” or “freedom of speech,” and honey, that’s not how any of this works. Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences, sweetie.
Fans and fellow athletes have been absolutely merciless in their responses, and we’re here for the accountability. Multiple celebrity voices have called out the behavior as inappropriate, disrespectful, and honestly, beneath what we expect from professional athletes representing their sport on a major platform. Even supporters of the political event seemed uncomfortable with how this whole situation unfolded.
The real question here is: will Hokit apologize or double down? Because based on recent celebrity meltdowns we’ve covered, the odds aren’t looking great. Some people just can’t resist the urge to be absolutely messy online, and this situation proves that some folks need a serious social media intervention ASAP.
What do you think? A) Hokit needs to apologize immediately and face consequences from the UFC B) This is just one person’s opinion and people are overreacting
