Is there ANYTHING young influencers won’t do for clout these days? Apparently not, honey, because one controversial TikTok star just took the phrase “putting yourself out there” to a whole new level of delusion.

Meet Clavicular (yes, that’s really his chosen brand name, and we’re already exhausted), real name Braden Peter, the 20-year-old “looksmaxxing” influencer who decided that the best way to prove his commitment to aesthetic perfection was to literally livestream his entire nose job. Because subtlety is SO last season, right?

The social media sensation headed straight to the office of the legendary Dr. Michael Salzhauer—better known in celebrity circles as Dr. Miami—and decided to broadcast his surgical transformation live to his devoted followers. We’re talking full anesthesia, scalpels, the works. No filter, no privacy, no common sense apparently.

The “looksmaxxing” movement, for those of us living in actual reality, is basically an obsessive online subculture dedicated to maximizing one’s physical appearance through any means necessary—fitness, skincare, surgery, you name it. And while self-improvement is fine and dandy, livestreaming your rhinoplasty crosses approximately seventeen ethical lines we didn’t even know existed.

Social media immediately exploded with reactions ranging from horrified to oddly impressed. Some followers praised his “transparency” and commitment to the craft, while others questioned whether this guy missed the memo about medical privacy laws and basic human dignity. One TikToker hilariously commented, “This is what happens when your personality IS your appearance,” and honestly? We can’t argue with that assessment.

Dr. Miami, never one to shy away from the spotlight himself, apparently had zero issues with turning a surgical procedure into prime-time entertainment. The cosmetic surgeon has built his own empire on social media by documenting his work, so perhaps this was just the natural evolution of his brand. Still, watching someone’s septum being reconstructed while thousands of people watch in real-time is giving us all the ick in ways we can’t quite articulate.

The real question everyone’s asking: Will this stunt actually help Clavicular’s follower count, or has he officially jumped the shark with his quest for relevance? Only time will tell if his “new nose, new me” era translates to actual staying power in an industry that devours and discards influencers faster than we can say “problematic.”

What do you think? A) Respect the hustle, it’s genius marketing B) This is absolutely unhinged and needs to stop
