Remember when we were all absolutely OBSESSED with How I Met Your Mother and waited like desperate puppies for Ted Mosby to finally meet the mother? Well, buckle up buttercup, because the cast has gone their separate ways and the drama is REAL.

Josh Radnor, our beloved Ted Mosby who spent nine seasons perfecting the art of being perpetually single and emotionally unavailable, has been living his best life away from the limelight. The man literally played a character desperate to find love while presumably learning absolutely NOTHING about actual relationships. Classic.

But here’s where it gets juicy, darling. While Radnor has been keeping things relatively low-key in the entertainment world, his castmates have been absolutely THRIVING and frankly, serving more looks and career moves than Ted ever could. Some have jumped into directing, others into producing, and let’s just say the ensemble cast has proven they were the real MVPs all along.

The internet is DIVIDED on whether this iconic sitcom crew has aged like fine wine or if we’re all just living in denial about the passage of time. Fans are literally fighting in the comments about who’s had the most successful career post-HIMYM, and honey, the shade being thrown is IMMACULATE. Some are defending Radnor’s pivot to indie films and theater (because apparently that’s a thing now), while others are convinced he should’ve leveraged that sweet, sweet sitcom money into something more lucrative.

What really gets us CACKLING is how the show’s finale absolutely shattered the fandom’s dreams with that ending. Like, we invested NINE SEASONS into this love story only to have it crumble like last season’s designer handbag. The cast has been suspiciously quiet about addressing the fan fury, which honestly just adds to the delicious tension.

The chemistry that made us fall in love with the MacLaren’s Pub crew clearly hasn’t translated into a reunion tour or any major Hollywood power moves. Instead, we’re all scrolling through their Instagram feeds like desperate stalkers trying to piece together what actually happened to these people who basically grew up on our television screens.

What do you think? A) Josh Radnor made the right choice stepping away from mainstream TV to pursue indie projects and maintain his dignity B) He should’ve capitalized on HIMYM fame and become a massive A-list star like he deserved?
